Thank You So Much!

The old X-Ray equipment at Dreamland Mission Hospital was unreliable and expensive to maintain. The only space for the old equipment was inside the existing hospital building in a completely impractical room with a doorway too narrow for the hospital beds or wheelchairs.

Thanks to your generosity we have now completed our new X Ray department. We broke ground on the 5th of May and in mid December the new machine was installed in the brand new building and the first digital X Ray was taken. This would not have been possible if it was not for your generosity.

We are very excited to announce that our X Ray department is now complete and has taken its first X Rays. This coincided with us running out of X Ray films for the old machine, it could not have come at a better time.

It has been a busy but exciting time for us. On the 5th of May we broke ground and construction began soon after. The building walls quickly and soon after breaking ground we were ready to put the roof on. When the roof was constructed we began to focus on ensuring the interior of the building was ready to accept patients. This included installing lead doors to protect others in the building.

Once we had the building complete it was time to install the new machine which would offer digital X Rays. The machine was purchased from Nairobi, and installed in December. The new X Ray machine will have far reaching benefits greater than simply offering digital X Rays.

The new building has rooms big enough for a patients bed or wheelchair.

The doorways are wide enough for hospital beds and wheelchairs.

The new digital imaging system is cheaper to run.

Government Health Insurance will cover the running costs.

The site is easily accessible to ambulances.

The new department is a huge asset to the hospital and will be a blessing to the surrounding community. We are so grateful to all of our donors for their generous donations and prayer support. We could not have done this without you.

Thank you so much for making this dream a reality!
