Ministry to Senior Citizens
Ministry to Senior Citizens - Introduction

Old age was looked on as a minor issue in society especially in extended families as an old aged person would be taken care of by the clan and relatives, but now, things have changed due to social, economical and general livelihood constraints. Also there are now very many old people who are becoming a nation on its own in society. IcFEM mission addresses the needs of the old in the community by the use of a grass root structure through a program called Ministry to the Senior Citizens. It is also striving to identify, assess and reach frail and needy elderly who are 75 years and above but the programme will also assess those under the age of 75 years and recommend/refer accordingly.
