Vision:

Quality Christian vocal and instrumental Music performance for the glory of God.

Mission:

Equipping the singers with Music knowledge on spiritual performances.

Goal:

Striving for excellent Godly performances.

Objectives:

  • Tap the Godly given Music talents.
  • Spiritually nurture the Music talents.
  • Enhance spiritual Music performances in the Fellowships.
  • Record quality spiritual Music performances.
  • Establish a well equipped Practical Music Centre at IcFEM Mission Headquarters.
  • Set up a Spiritual Music Performance Centre in each Area for weekly, Monthly and Annual concerts.
  • Educate all communities through excellent performances on:
    • Christian values.
    • Consequences of rebellion against God.
    • Fruits of embracing God's word.

Strategy:

  • Identification and empowerment of talented Music and Dance performers at Fellowship level.
  • Formation and establishment of Music & Gospel dance teams and committees at Fellowships levels, Local Transformation Units, Areas and Mission Headquarters
  • Organise Quarterly and Annual concerts at all levels.
  • Developing Music Trainers of Trainers for effective facilitation of Kingdom Singers programme objectives.
  • Establishment of IcFEM Music booklets, Audio and Visual Library.
  • Supervision, monitoring and reporting on Quarterly and Annual basis.

Activities:

  • Interpretation of music from staff notation and sol-fa notation.
  • Sight reading, singing and playing hymn tunes.
  • Writing (composing) melodies for performance.
  • Practical performance of Music and Gospel Dances using a variety of musical instruments.
  • Adaptation of melodies of existing African traditional folk tunes into spiritual melodies.
  • Performing songs with lyrics on emerging issues such as:
    • HIV/AIDS.
    • Drug Abuse.
    • Integrity.
    • Environmental Issues.
    • Corruption.
    • Child Labour.
    • Gender Equality.
    • Human Rights.
    • Spiritual Growth.
    • Discipleship in Fellowships - singing scriptures, addressing spiritual warfare e.g. breaking walls of Jericho.
    • Family values.
    • Promotion of wholistic education (all round education).
    • Food and food security.
    • Leadership issues.
    • Promotion of sports through music to instil discipline.
    • Youth centred music with focus on instructions, discipline and Godliness.
    • Health related issues especially promoting health care, sanitation and hygiene, clean water and Malaria control, nutrition and immunisation.

Expected Outputs:

  • Develop 5 Trainers of Trainers (ToT) per Local Transformation Unit each quarter (5 ToTs × 14 LTUs × 3QTs = 210 ToTs Annually.
  • Develop IcFEM Headquarter Music and Gospel Dance Teams to International Standard by end of 2010 financial year.

  • Men Music and Gospel Dance team.
  • Develop Talented Music performers and empower them to be self-reliant economically through their music skills.
